Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument

This center addresses the Paleontology efforts in the Monument.

The courtyard features several full-sized steel silhouette sculptures depicting local Cretaceous groupings, along with a large simulated interactive dig site.

The interior features a 40-foot mural that shows the evolution of the landscape and life forms from 95 to 65 million years ago, supplemented with recently discovered fossil displays.

“Ask the Experts” interactive videos supplement the exhibit.
